Elise's Class Field Trip

  I'm so glad that I got to go on Elise's class field trip to the Rail City Nursery.  I even got to ride on the bus with her, which she was very happy about.  We learned about beehives, about planting and using chicken poop for fertilizer, and we learned about raising our own chickens (which I really want to do).  I am so glad that I have friends who help me with my kids so that I can enjoy time with each one of my kids.  It is fun to see Elise with her friends at school, and to be a part of her life.  I can't believe that Kindergarten is almost over.

Mothers Day

This year for Mothers Day Elise's class had a  luncheon. Elise gave me a poem with her handprint on a ceramic wall hanging.  It was really cute.  Elise was so happy to have her Mom go to school with her, and excited that Jayden could see her classroom.  I love this little girl.  It is so sad that she will be in school full time next year.  Her and Jayden have so much fun at home.    I love being a Mom, I can truly say that I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. 

 

Teacher Appreciation Week

 For some reason this year I just feel like making homemade things,
maybe it's because of Pinterest.  For Elise, Dallin, and Jayden's teachers we made these apple cookies.  They are oreos dipped in red chocolate with a pretzel for the stem and a green airhead candy for the leaf.  It was fun, messy and a lot of work.  I guess I love those things.  But, it was just fun for the kids to make these for their teachers.  I am grateful that they have good teachers this year.

Valentines Day 2012

 I know that I haven't posted for the longest time.  But, I am going to try and catch up and I don't want to miss anything.  So here I go back to Valentines Day. 

This year for Valentines Day I wanted to do something special for my Valentines.  I deceided to do a really nice candle light dinner.  We had shrimp scampi and Swiss Cheese Fondue with steamed veggies and pieces of French Bread.  We always have Fondu on special occasions and the kids love it.  Then my friend Lindsey had this idea with Orange Crush drinks.  I printed off these tags that say "I have a Crush on You" and gave everyone their own crush.  The kids were so excited to have soda, because we never have soda, unless we are at Birthday Parties.  It was really fun.  I love my Valentines.  I wish I had a picture of Jayden.

These are our homemade valentines that we made for everyone in Dallin and Elise's class.  It was a lot of work, but the kids in the class were so excited to have a chocolate mustache.  The valentine said "I mustache you a question?"  "Will you be my Valentine?"  Then I found this mold at Michaels to make chocolate Mustaches.  The kids could hold their mustaches up to their faces with the popsicle sticks.  I went to Dallin's class Valentines party and all of the kids had chocolate stains above their mouths from holding these mustaches up to their face.  It was a lot of fun.
