Apple Hill

We wanted to go to Apple Hill in October, but life got so busy that we finally made it there in November. We're glad that we finally got to go. Dallin was very excited to go, since he had been learning about Johnny Appleseed in school. He was convinced that Johnny Appleseed planted all of the trees on Apple Hill. He could name off any facts about Johnny Appleseed and he even knew his real name. We were quite impressed. Dallin just loves learning and we think that is great.
As for Jayden and Elise I think they were just excited to go on the pony rides and pet the animals. Elise was the most excited when she got her face painted for free.

Catching Up

During the month of November Dallin was off track from school. It was actually really nice. We had a great time. I tried to plan some fun activities for the kids, but the weather ended up being so nice that we spent most of our days on our bikes or at the park, and we even snuck over to the golf course pond one day to feed the ducks. We had a great time at home and then we headed to Utah and Idaho for Thnksgiving. I will post those pictures later, but I just wanted to post some pictures of our fun activities that we did at the beginning of November.

Jayden is actually quite a good little bike rider. It is amazing how much he loves riding his bike.

The fall was so nice this year. We had so much fun in the leaves and on our bikes.

At home we fingerpainted one day with different colors of shaving cream. The kids really liked this and it cleaned up pretty quick.

Our funnest activity was an idea that I got from our friend Jen Barnes. We made different colors of play dough and made a dinosaur city and a pond and a volcano.

We actually made a volcano with balsamic vinegar because that was all that I had on hand. It was actually really cool because it looked like real lava. What fun we had. I already miss those days now that we're heading into winter.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

We had a great Halloween this year. One of my favorite things was being able to decorate our front porch with this witch shadow. I think Halloween has become one of our favorite holidays. We had a fun party at our house. I wish my camera had been working so that I could post some pictures.

Dallin was Iron Man this year. He just loves Iron Man.

Jayden was a firefighter. I tried to find him a superhero costume, but ran out of time and decided that he would be a firefighter. He had so much fun trick or treating. He just loved the candy. He can't talk much, but he sure tried to say Trick or Treat (he just said Ah Ah). Then he would say (Ank U). He would always wave Bye to each door he went to. It was so fun watching Jayden Trick or Treating for the first time.

Elise was our Supergirl. She loves to dress up and had so much fun trick or treating as well. Our favorite house was a house that had a movie theater popcorn stand. The kids loved the popcorn.

Here are our little trick or treaters. They definately got enough candy for the rest of the year between two ward Trunk or treats and trick or treating in our neighborhood.

September Joy/Pre- School

During the month of September we talked about our bodies. We talked about our five senses, about healthy foods and exercise. I had tons of fun, and I think the kids had tons of fun. We had timed races and the kids did great climbing over the ladder and running around the boxes. Look and Peter and Megan go. What a fun month, thanks to Tammy and everyone for having such fun kids!!

We did the entire month of September at our house. It was a crazy month, but it was so fun, and I think that the kids had a great time. Our theme was the Body.

Dallin's Great Week

Dallin had the greatest week last week. It all started out with a Math award. He was so excited to come home and announce that he would be receiving a Math Award. We went to the school on Friday and Dallin was presented by the principal an award for excellence in Math. That was pretty exciting for Dallin. So, Congratulations Dallin!!

Next, Dallin lost 4 teeth in one week-end and made the tooth fairy broke. He was so excited to get so much money from the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy wasn't so excited to lose so much money in one week-end.

Finally, Dallin, Elise and Daddy had a bake sale on our street. They did really well making a total of $12.00 in less than one hour. People driving by told Dallin that this was a great business. He sold chocolate chip cookies, banana bread and drinks. He used his money to buy his most desired toy called a beyblade. All the kids at school have this toy and Dallin has been dying to buy a beyblade. We convinced Elise to save her moeny because she wants to buy an ironing board to iron her baby's clothes. What fun kids!!

Jayden is 2 Years Old!!!!!

Happy Birthday Jayden!! For Jayden's Birthday this year we decided to have an ice cream party. Jayden loved the ice cream and so did his Daddy. I made homemade rocky road ice cream. Jayden had just as much fun watching the ice cream in the ice cream maker. He loved blowing out the candle. We lit it over and over 10 times so that he could blow it out over and over.
It's hard to believe that my little baby is already 2 years old. Time goes by so quickly. Even though the two's are crazy, I just love this age. I just love watching Jayden on his bike, or when he is smiling and laughing. He isn't scared of anything. He even tries to jump from our trampoline to the ground. He is so fun to have around, and I am so grateful that Jayden is a part of our family. We love our little "J Dawg".

Dallin Is growing up

Dallin and Stephanie did a Mexican Dance called the Jarabe Tapatio for our wards enrichment on Thursday. They did such a good job and looked so cute.

Dallin's school had their annual Sock Hop. Dallin, Elise and Jayden dressed up like 50's style. They were so cute, it was fun dressing up.

My little boy is off to 1st grade. It is so sad to have him gone all day. I really loved having him home all day and sometimes I panick and think, will he be OK, is he prepared. I know so many other kids have gone off to school. I know school is good for him and he is learning so much, so I must let him go. We have a devotional every day before he goes to school, because I want him to always go to school with a spiritual thought. We sing primary songs sometimes, and the other day he came home from school and said, I had the primary song that we sang, "Dare to Do Right" in my head all day. I said, that's great!!

Here Dallin is in his school line-up. He loves school, but he does say that he wishes school wasn't so long. I know it is hard, but I know he has a great time especially at recess.

Elise misses Dallin the most. She really loves her big brother. She will always save something for Dallin or draw him a picture so that she can give it to him when he comes home from school. So sad.

My Little Elise

Elise loves her little brother Jayden. Jayden does whatever Elise tells him to do, and that is why they get along so well. Dallin doesn't do whatever Elise wants him to do, but they play well together most of the time. Elise will play with Jayden, and she'll call Jayden her husband. Sometimes they play doctor and I'll find Jayden laying on the floor while Elise is checking his heartbeat. These are such fun memories that I just don't want to forget.

If Elise isn't dressed as a princess she's wearing her swimsuit. This is her at Bear Lake this Summer. She had a great time and just loves the water. What a crazy girl.

Elise loves this dress that Nanny got in Utah. It is the perfect dress up dress and I think she looks so cute in it. She wears this everywhere, all of the time. What would life be like if you could just be dressed up like a princess all of the time.

This is Elise's poodle skirt that I made for her with a bunch of other girls to go to Hot August Nights. It was so fun to have all our kids dressed up and to see the old fashioned cars drive by. It was a night to remember.

I've just been thinking about Elise lately and wanted to write something down about her before I forget. She is so funny. The other day I took her and Jayden to the park. Jayden was at the top of the slide and an older boy was trying to push Jayden. Elise ran up to this boy and said very seriously, "Don't hit my brother"(She says bwoder), then she said "I just don't like it when people hit my bwuder." The boy stopped and that made Elise happy. She was just so cute, and I just wished someone was there with me to hear Elise. I just love her so much. She is so brave and just loves life.
